RELATIVES AS PARENTS: If you are a Relative raising a relative (such as grandchild,etc.) and you would like more information on resources available to you please contact Charity Damron at 272-6003  Next Farmer's Market Meeting : January 15th at 7:00 pm. at the Wayne Health Department The Wayne Awareness Towards Cancer and Health (WATCH) and the National Guard has teamed up with our schools to offer an evening of fun and learning at the school. Bill O'Dell, Community Development Speaclist with the WV Prevention Resource Center, has involved some of our students and they have created "The Truth and Dare Challenge". The project will be making it way through out Wayne County Middle Schools. Students are going to have a opportunity to particpate in various fun/ learning stations set up by the National Guard and WATCH. After the students are finished with the activities the committee will be providing dinner for parents and students and siblings. Parents and students will enjoy a short presentation by Dr.Terry Smith. Then the students will go with Bill to learn and be entertained by "The Magic Is In You and Not Drugs" with storytelling and magic and then they will go through some of the Challenges. The adults will go with Dr. Smith and hear about "The Soft Use of Alcohol and Other /Household Products", or in other words, what are some of the products found in your home that youth use to get high-(this is a real eye-opener.)
